This session reviews the legal and pedagogical rationales for co-teaching as a method for promoting the inclusion of students with disabilities. In addition to exploring the benefits and challenges of co-teaching, this presentation discusses models for co-teaching and how to avoid common pitfalls. Educators will gain practical strategies and resources for co-teaching and administrators will find useful information for supporting co-teaching partnerships, and creating systems for success. Whether you are collaborating with a general education professional, paraprofessional, related services provider, or administrator, this training will model strategies for developing strong communication and building dynamic partnerships to serve all students.
